DAVIS VALLEY WINERY  

Davis Valley Winery and Vineyard is Smyth County’s first farm winery, located along America’s favorite scenic road, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and we’re right on the path to Virginia’s Crooked Road. Our 45 acres of grapes are nestled on a beautiful 363 acre estate in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia, just minutes off Interstate 81 at Exit 54. Come sample our wines from our 100-year old oak antique bar, tour the winery, browse the gift shop, or just sit on the veranda and enjoy the spectacular panoramic vistas from our scenic hilltop setting.

CHATEAU MORRISETTE

Château Morrisette is one of the oldest and largest wineries in Virginia. Located in a spectacular natural setting in rural southwestern Virginia, our winery production building and visitor center is considered the largest salvaged timber-frame building in the United States. From light-bodied Rieslings and buttery Chardonnays, to the bright fruit of our Chambourcin and rich, full-bodied Cabernets, our wine making team makes over 18 different award-winning wines.  Our location on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway has introduced thousands of visitors to Virginia wines.

KESWICK VINEYARDS

Keswick Vineyards is a 400-acre winery built on Edgewood Estate, a property rich with history dating to 1727. The hard work, dedication and skill of the team, headed by winemaker Stephen Barnard, has garnered repeated awards for our wines, most notably Chardonnay, Viognier, and Heritage. Stephens philosophy: Aim for quality, not quantity, and develop the best wines possible. Keswick's tasting room is reminiscent of a grand horse-country barn with stunning views.

HOLLY GROVE VINEYARDS

We are a family owned and operated farm winery located on Holly Grove Cove on the Bayside of Virginia's Eastern Shore.  Inspired by the natural beauty and resources here, we are committed to producing quality handcrafted wines using locally grown grapes.  Capitalizing on our temperate climate moderated by the Atlantic Ocean breezes on this "land between two waters" we expect to produce fine wines which express the natural terroir.  We are continuing a tradition dating back centuries to the days when Native Americans worked the land to produce a host of fruitful agricultural products.

TOMAHAWK MILL VINEYARD

The history of Tomahawk Mill Vineyard and Winery takes you back in time to  Confederate veteran James Anderson, who constructed a water-powered grist mill on Tomahawk Creek and began grinding for local farmers in 1888. The mill continued operation until 1988, when it was closed to plant a vineyard, starting with Chardonnay and Concord varieties. Pinot Noir, Johannesburg Riesling, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes followed, and the first Chardonnay vintage was produced in 1990. We are very proud of our wines, especially the Tobacco Road Blues, Vidal Blanc and the Earl of Chatham Mead.

HORTON VINEYARDS

Horton Vineyards, located in Orange County, Virginia, is one of the most innovative wineries in the country. Utilizing the latest viticultural techniques, Horton is charting a new generation of wines made from Viognier, the premier grape of France’s Rhone Valley, and other premium varieties from southern France, Portugal, Spain, Russia/Georgia, and Italy. Horton’s portfolio includes several nationally acclaimed wines, and has over 40 wines to sample and purchase, including some very interesting varietals, fruit wines, sparkling wines and ports.

PEAKS OF OTTER WINERY

There's gold in the hills of Bedford County! According to the Beale treasure legend, there is about 25 million dollars worth of gold, silver and jewels buried somewhere between Blue Ridge, Virginia  and the famous Peaks of Otter mountains. The treasure was buried between 1819 and 1821 by Thomas J. Beale. The real “gold” found in Bedford County is the combination of wonderful people, the beautiful landscape, and majestic views. Johnson Orchard was established in 1918 and Peaks of Otter Winery was established in 1996 as Bedford’s first winery. Now the fifth generation is working and producing fruit wines on the farm.

James River Cellars is located just 10 miles North of Richmond or just 10 miles South of Kings Dominion, right off I-95. This family owned winery offers over 15 varieties of award winning wines from Virginia Grown Grapes. BREAUX VINEYARDS

At Breaux Vineyards, we are proud to craft our estate grown, hand-harvested grapes into internationally acclaimed award-winning wines to please every palate. Located only an hour from metro D.C., our 400 acre estate has over 87 acres planted in seventeen different grape varieties. Our vineyard plantings extend up the Short Hill Mountain just a short distance from historic Harpers Ferry WV, and long vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains can be enjoyed from our tasting room and landscaped terraces.

WHITE FENCES VINEYARD

High away in the blackness of the sky over Irvington, Virginia, the meteors often come in showers, slicing the sky by the hundreds or even thousands like the fins of silver fish around a boat at night. Beneath this excess of magic and motion lies the small vineyard called White Fences. While every wine has the character of the land in its soul, we call our wines Meteor because of the unique relationship between land and sky at White Fences. We have only six acres in the vineyard. And we make only a few  handcrafted wines. But there is not a bottle of wine we create that does not have in its character that certain sense of itself and where it comes from.

HIDDENCROFT VINEYARDS

Concealed in the valley near the Short Hills Mountain, Hiddencroft Vineyards is Loudoun County’s northern most winery.  The terroir created by our soils, climate, and vineyard management techniques is expressed in the quality of the grapes and wines we produce. We have been growing wine grapes since 2001 and currently have six acres in cultivation. We also grow fruits and berries and craft small quantities of fine fruit wines. We prize the Virginia countryside and respect the movement to buy food and drink that is produced “locally”.  Our goal is to create quality wines, a memorable tasting experience, and promote Loudoun County’s image as a leader in Virginia’s Wine Country.

West Wind West Wind Farm is a fourth-generation homestead near the New River in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia where we hand-craft small batches of Virginia wine.  We welcome hikers, motorists, cyclists, motorcyclists, corporate escape artists, picnicking lovers, stressed out lawyers, tired old hippies, Yankee tourists and the occasional wine expert to our breezy hillside.  We're near the intersection of I-81 and I-77 in Wythe County, between Roanoke and Bristol.

BURNLEY VINEYARDS

Burnley Vineyards is one of the oldest vineyards in the Monticello viticultural area. Burnley is the epitome of a family operation. We produce 5,000 cases a year from vinifera and french hybrid grapes.. Our 30 acres of vineyards are planted in Chardonnay, Caberet Sauvignon, Orange Muscat, Muscat Blanc, Chambourcin, Vidal and even a little of the elusive Norton, an American hybrid that was first introduced on 1835.

REBEC VINEYARDS

If you want to find peace and hospitality in the Blue Ridge Mountains, get in your car and travel south on Route 29 to Amherst County - Rebec Vineyards is the spot for you! We opened to the public in 1987. Since then our selection has grown to 13 wines, including Viognier, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and our special blends - Autumn Glow and Sweet Sofia. What sets Rebec apart from the rest is the tender loving care each bottle receives. Our wine maker croons to the wine as he bottles. The secret is not the tonality of his singing (just ask his assistant) but in the songs themselves, which are Bulgarian folk tunes!

THE WINERY AT LA GRANGE

Very rich in history and very rich in wine, the new Winery at La Grange is Prince William County's only established winery. The red brick three and a half story manor house built in the 1790's has survived numerous owners and finally has come to rest as a gorgeous  historical destination in Virginia's wine country. While the 5,500 newly planted Cabernet Sauvignon vines grow silently, the manor house is completely refurbished, and wine is aging nicely in the new Winery. The Winery at La Grange's initial 2,500 cases of wine include: Vidal Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Meritage, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Norton, Claret, Pinot Grigio and a Brut Reserve sparkling.

INGLESIDE VINEYARDS

Ingleside Vineyards is part of a 3,000 acre estate owned by the Flemer family for over one hundred twenty years. The winery is one of Virginia’s oldest and largest, with close to 100 acres of grapes. We produce twenty different wines including Virginia Brut, a sparkling wine made by hand, Methode Champenoise, as traditionally done in France. Wines from our Chesapeake Wine Company label have been particularly styled to go with Virginia’s famous Chesapeake Bay seafood. We are proud that no winery has won the prestigious Virginia Governor’s Cup, exemplifying the best wine in Virginia, as many times as Ingleside Vineyards. Come and enjoy a picnic in our lovely European style courtyard.

FABBIOLI CELLARS

Winemaker Doug Fabbioli has been growing and making wines in Virginia over the past 10 years.  Fabbioli Cellars is the culmination of his 25 years experience over three distinct wine regions including Finger Lakes and the Carneros.  The focus is on high quality and low production of red wines that combine world style with Virginia “Terroir.”  With limited wine tasting at the winery, it is wise to take advantage of the opportunity to taste what some consider to be the best reds in the state.

HILLTOP BERRY FARM & WINERY

Nestled at the foot of Wintergreen Resort and atop the rolling hills of the Rockfish Valley, sits Hill Top Berry Farm & Winery. Originally opened as a pick-your-own blackberry farm, the family owned and operated business expanded into a winery in the late 1990's. Founders, Marlyn and Sue Allen, were at the forefront of Virginia's budding wine industry with the introduction of specialty fruit wines. Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery produces a unique experience for fruit lovers and historians alike. More than a dozen "True to the Fruit" Virginia wines and historical honey meads adorn the shelves of this cozy, family winery.

BARBOURSVILLE VINEYARDS

Estate-grown on the westerly slope of the Southwest Mountains in Orange County, between James Madison's Montpelier and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, Barboursville wines "set the standard" in Virginia viticulture and present remarkable food-friendliness, varietal elegance and shelf life. Highly valued in the wine press and in international competitions, the wines of Barboursville Vineyards are also the House Red, the House White, and the House Sparkling wines at the world-reknowned Inn at Little Washington.

FOX MEADOW VINEYARDS

Situated at an elevation of 1700 feet above sea level, Fox Meadows Vineyards allows our visitors to actually “look down on the tops of mountains” and see as many as seven mountain ranges. It is truly a breath taking experience. We are located on the east slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Linden, Virginia, overlooking the Manassas Gap (not to be confused with Manassas, Virginia). On a clear day you can see over 50 miles. While at Fox Meadow Vineyards visitors can either relax in our picnic area or on our large tasting room deck overlooking the vineyard.

VILLAGE WINERY

The Village Winery and its ten acres of vineyards are just outside the heart of the village of Waterford, a National Historic Landmark. The winery is housed in a restored farm structure next to our large, old bank barn. All of our wines are crafted entirely by hand to preserve the subtle flavors of the grape varieties and are aged in French oak barrels to further enhance them. Along with our own wines, we offer wines from several distant Virginia wineries. Come and enjoy our relaxing country setting, and bring a picnic if the weather is nice.

BELLE MOUNT VINEYARDS

At Belle Mount Vineyards we grow many European grape varieties, a few hybrids and of course the historic American grape Norton, originally discovered in Richmond. Chardonnay, Merlot and Cab Franc are our most popular fine wines. We are located near Warsaw on Virginia’s Northern Neck. From our vineyards you can see the Rappahannock River and launch a canoe into Cat Point Creek.  If you enjoy Bald Eagle watching and leisurely trips to pristine freshwater wetlands then you will love it here. Plan a retreat or romantic getaway to our cabins  and enjoy Virginia Wine Country along the Northern Neck Wine Trail.

VIRGINIA MOUNTAIN VINEYARDS

At Virginia Mountain Vineyards you can forget about the present and enjoy the picturesque mountain views visible on top of Zion Hill. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east and the Alleghany Mountains to the west, the winery is located fourteen miles north of Interstate 81, just off route 220 outside the center of Historic Fincastle.

DELFOSSE VINEYARDS

The European-style terraced terrain of the DelFosse provides unique wine-growing conditions. We specialize in high end premium varietal wines and currently have ten varietals planted: Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Chambourcin.

OAK CREST WINERY

A long time effort by the Conrad Brandts family culminated in the opening of Oak Crest Winery in 2002. The winery's creation involved a combination of genetics, scientific bent, fortunate opportunities, and the urge to create good wine to share with others. Conrad's home wine making dates back to the 1950's and the family's wine grape growing in Virginia dates to the mid 1960's.  In 1986 they planted grafted vinifera grapevines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc as the grapes for the red wine blends. Today the tasting room offers nine varietals, including their own Viognier.

CARDINAL POINT WINERY

VALHALLA VINEYARDS

Valhalla Vineyards is located in Roanoke. We are on a 2000 foot mountain with incredible views of the Roanoke Valley and beyond. We are an estate winery: we never buy fruit from others. We try to grow  the best grapes nature will give us and then stand back as nature, with a little help, ferments those grapes into fine wines. Our Cabernet and 'valkyrie' bordeaux blend spend 40 months  in the barrel before bottling and then over a year in bottles before release. This allows the tannins to mellow and produce outstanding big red wines for your pleasure.

TARARA WINERY

Sitting on the bluffs of the Potomac River, Tarara Winery has the perfect backdrop for enjoying world class wines. AMRHEIN WINE CELLARS

Whether you come to Southwest Virginia for two hours or two weeks, you must make AmRhein Wine Cellars one of your touring destinations.The name AmRhein means "on the Rhein (Rhine) River" which is located in Germany and where our ancestors are from. We specialize in unique Virginia-style wines with a German influence offering unique layers of fruit full of rich aroma. All the distinctive wines are born from our Blue Ridge Mountain Estate grown vineyards in Virginia. AmRhein vineyards were first planted in 1995 and our first official crush occurred in 1999.
